Custom Engraving & Signs

Custom Engraving was started as a home based business in the 1980's. At the time, it was to set up to create name tags for people in the military. After retiring from the Military with 37 years service, the owner decided to expand the business. In 1998, it was incorporated and we started making more signs than name tags. In 2007, we ordered our first laser, moved it out of the house, and started getting into many different markets.

In 2008 we bought our second laser and started focusing heavily on signs and sign related jobs.  As we grew and built relationships with other sign shops, we realized the need for different types of equipment. Before we knew it, we had a number of more specialized machines and many local sign shops, including national franchises, were bringing us work. In 2009, we moved into a 2,500 sq. ft facility and kept the growth going by adding more lasers, sandblasting, and digital printing.

We began helping people with product ideas bring those ideas to market. We started seeing more and more customers creating their own products and coming to us for marking their products. We have been very fortunate to work with so many diverse customers, and we get excited when we can link our customers together to share their experiences with each other. It's always exciting when someone launches a new product and you see magazine articles written about them, knowing those product photos are showing off items manufactured and/or engraved by us.

Three generations work here today, and the business has been in existence for over 25 years in Henrico County, VA. We have worked on projects for customers all over the United States. If we can help with your project, we'd be honored to help you.
