Laser Engraving

Laser Engraving has become the standard for engraving today. Twenty years ago, everything was engraved with a rotary engraving machine, where the tool rotated and cut into the work piece. Fast forward to today and laser technology allows us to cut materials with nothing more than a densely focused laser beam. It’s like Star Wars without R2D2! Using nothing but light, we can engrave non metallic items such as plastics and wood products. Laser Engraving can be used to produce one item or thousands and thousands of items. It’s a very cost effective way to engrave, mark, and cut materials.

Laser Cutting

Laser Cutting is possible for a variety of materials. We often cut acrylic and wood products to shape. It might be a prototype part for a robot or a Christmas Tree ornament cut from wood. The level of detail possible is outstanding. We often cut 1000‘s of parts at a time for various companies across the United States that have tight tolerances to control. If you have items that need to be cut to shape, we’d be happy to help you.

Metal Marking

The types of lasers used to engrave will not cut or mark metal on their own. There are compounds used to make marks on metal that cannot be wiped off. In fact, the technique and the compounds that are commonly used are often used to mark parts in the aerospace industry. A compound is sprayed into the metal, the laser hits the compound and actually fuses the compound into the material. You cannot wash or wipe the end result off. It is safe from solvents or any cleaning materials.
